    You can work anywhere in UAE and even outside UAE if you have a legal freelance permit or license from any of UAE freezone.

    Any visa which is issued under the establishment of any private company is not allowed to buy or sale in UAE. Company visa is an employment visa whereas the actual freelance visa is applied through UAE government authority or any of the government delegate service provider.

    Any entity which is created in mainland or freezone is a business setup then what is the difference? License issued by freezones mainly don't required office space or office tenancy contract whereas in mainland, office space with registered office tenancy contract is the basic requirement.

    It usually takes 10 to 12 days. First for initial approval, it takes 1 to 2 days

    First the documents such as passport copy and a photo is submitted for initial approval. After that the freelance permit / license is applied where applicant has to suggest business name and select freelance activities. Once license is issued, an immigration card is processed to further apply a temporary residency which is called entry permit visa. In case if the applicant is outside country, he or she needs to travel to UAE and continue to medical examination and Emirates ID and if the applicant is already in UAE then a visa status change process is done after entry permit is issued. Just after entry permit, medical examination and Emirates ID is processed and for those who never had Emirates ID before, they are taken to do a biometric or fingerprints.

    Yes, you can work with any company as a freelancer. Your freelance permit allows you to work with any company where you and the company can create a legal contract and work together.

    There are two different sponsorship processes in UAE. First where a residency visa holder can sponsor family like spouse, children and parents. Second, if you have a freelance license from freezone, with this license you can sponsor anyone, no matter they are relative to you or not.

    If your visa category is investor, then you can stay 365 days outside UAE and if visa category is employee then you can't stay more than 180 days outside UAE.
